Since November 2011 the energy performance certificate is mandatory for sale and rent.

The potential buyers or occupants are informed in case the energy consumption of the house or apartment.

The certificate is issued by an aggregate certification scheme. During his visit, the expert will check the insulation, the quality of the glazing, heating, cooling and hot water production. The surface of the property is also measured. A calculation is made (relation between area, volume, any loss areas and below the listed technical elements) that captures the energetic score on a scale from A to G. The higher the number, the higher the property is energy-intensive.

The energy performance certificate presents, in addition to the score, some tips that allow you to reduce the power consumption of your estate. That advice is for information only.
